Emergency First Aid
This course provides an emergency first aid certificate that is authorized by the WSIB and meets the requirements for obtaining an Ontario Security Guard License. The certificate is valid for three years. The Emergency First Aid & CPR / AED training course entails 8 hours of classroom instruction. It is a hands-on, interactive course that provides an overview of basic First Aid and CPR procedures for anyone who seeks to learn them for work or home. The training covers recognizing, avoiding, and responding to adult cardiovascular emergencies, including choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and disease transmission prevention. Participants will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and become certified for it.
